It seems it's been a donkey's age since I had to sell all of my equipment to make rent, but thanks to CraigsList, Adorama, and some local pawn and discount stores, I've managed to piece together a number of items over the last year. Admittedly, I don't have the latest, hottest, or newest equipment, and some of what I have isn't in the prettiest of conditions, but what I have is the opportunity to get back into shooting, and that's worth more than words can say. I'm hoping to get another 24" monitor I can calibrate for the photography, and then pop a widescreen 20" in portrait mode off to the left for tools, email, and the rest of my desktop detritus. As winter -- such as it is in the Portland Metro area -- begins to consider moving to spring, it's time to start thinking about photography again. I'm through with trying to make my camera phone and my miniature camcorder work as my primary lenses on the world, and I've started budgeting to get back into the flow.
