To steal a phrase, "I'm not asking for much. Just a token; a trifle, really." All I want is a model who won't flake.

Since January, I've set up eleven shots. Some of the missed opportunities are understandable. I was ill for one, a model's mom wound up hospitalized for another. In most cases, though, the model either doesn't show, or calls the day of the shoot and lets me know that he or she can't make it because "something came up."

Something came up.

I know things can come up, and I know life can be crazy, but please, show some consideration. Sure, we don't know one another. In many cases, we've never met before I've contacted you or v. versa; however, when a commitment is made, follow through, or reschedule. Don't simply decide that you're not going to show up.

Oh, and my last model? I found out what came up. His friends invited him out drinking.

I need to go back to shooting still lifes.
